Hey Scotty I'm driving 2013 Toyota Camry LE on a 2.5 l 6 speed automatic, what can I do to fix this gas mileage problem I'm only getting about 20 miles per gallon and I was looking at videos online and everything I looked at said I should be getting about 30 to 35 possibly 38 on the highway I would like to get to that can you help me?
It might help if you told us more details such as mileage (as requested in the posting instructions), some details about the car's service history, and what might be found if you perform a diagnostic scan for codes and live data.
Also, see the the site FAQ section "Why am I getting poor fuel economy?"
Provided you maintain your air filter and do basic maintenance on your vehicle, the biggest contributor to poor gas mileage is your driving style. In stop-and-go traffic, your gas mileage will tank just as much as going 85+ on the highway. I managed to get 16 MPG in my F-150 on E85 by anticipating light changes and coasting instead of using the brakes, in addition to driving at sane speeds on the highway.
