I’m looking to buy a car to commute 30 miles to work.
I have my eyes on 2019 Camry XSE very well kept and maintained but has 180k highway miles on it (Dallas to Houston)
I’m just wondering if this is a good buy? They are asking $13k for it

13K still quite a bit of money for that car.  I know Toyotas run forever, but its still a sedan with nearly 200K on it.   If they can provide proof of regular maintenance on it, I would consider close to 13K. Without that knowledge, you have no idea how that car was treated over the last 180K miles.  Most of those miles may have been on I45, but it still had to drive through traffic on both ends.  Also make sure its not a flood vehicle since we get TONS of those up here in Dallas from guys who sell them from Houston.

It apparently has a good service records but I will know for sure when I have it in my hands. I will also ask for flood thanks for that advice. I think I will feel more comfortable paying something like 10.5-11k for it.

That should still have a lot of miles left in it given that its a Camry and especially if it really is truly all highway miles, which is highly likely given its age. However it is still high mileage regardless so I would try to pay less than that.

We paid $17k OTD for a certified used 2017 Camry LE with 70,000 miles on it two years ago. I have no doubt we could sell it for the same price now. With that being said, keep looking because the price is bonkers IMHO.

Yeah I do feel like the price is bonkers but in these market conditions I don’t know anymore. What would you pay for it?
