Hi Scotty! I'm currently looking at two Honda Civics. One is a 2019 Honda Civic LX (2.0L 4 cyl engine). The other is a 2018 Honda Civic Ex-T (1.5L 4 cyl engine). Which one should I pursue? and is the 1.5L 4 cyl turbocharged engine as bad as everyone says it is?
All else being equal I would go with the 2.0 non-turbo engine.
You haven't included the asking price for each, but in general given the current market you might want to consider brand new (2022 model) as the base LX with the 2.0L NA engine starts at $22,350 msrp.
Ex-T is $20.8, LX is $21k. Both below 11k miles.
So it depends on your budget and financial situation, but personally I would pay $2k more and buy brand new. You get the new model with manufacturers warranty.
