2019 Ram 1500 DT 5.7 Hemi - 2020 purchased Ram with 7500 miles. Ran great engine smooth and quiet. At around 20,000. Started running a little rough but tolerable. I use 89 octane Top Tier gas since I've owned it. Kept up with maintenance. As time has gone by started getting the Hemi tick. Now at 61000 the truck runs rougher. I've gone through the expense of changing plugs, evap canister sensor, cleaned throttle body and gasket, even coils paks and has not helped the roughness of the engine. lifter noise when it happens which seems more often now. Along with the lifter noise I've had what seems a bottom end knock what it sounds like to me and have recorded this lifter and knock noise. Throughout time I've mentioned to dealer a couple times but either it doesn't happen when I bring it in or they claim they don't hear any issue. I really enjoy the ride, looks and comfort of the interior. But I'm worried about the engine if it is going to get worse. Another issue I have when you take off from a stop as you press on the accerlerator ill get a bump when I take off. I've mentioned this to the dealer and all they want to do is reprogram tranny. Which really doesn't help. I've recorded plenty of videos of the lifter and knock noise. I'm past the manufacturer warranty but do have an extended warranty. Any thoughts on how to handle these issue without raising your blood psi.
Those things have horrible camshafts that wear out. Have a mechanic checked that first and pay your warranty will pay for it
