I have the 12" screen in my truck. Last week the navigation system lost all communication with the GPS satellites. Sirius XM radio still works as does every other vehicle function. The dealership tried flashing the software and the firmware but those actions didn't work. A new radio has been ordered under warranty.
My questions are
- is this a common problem?
- What causes it?
- Is this likely caused by an OTA they sent out?

To answer:
- Upon a quick Google, yes this seems to be an issue for factory maps. People recommend just using google connect through smart phone as the modified Android software on these tablets kind of suck.
- Most likely defective chip or software update.
- Yes, it possibly could be they were trying to do a patch but screwed it up, cheaper to send out a OTA than to replace whole units.
