94 Toyota V6 4x4

  • Scotty love the content.  Ok have spent a grip on this truck in two years.  Head gaskets/ cooling system/ rear main ect.  Just got to 200k on it.  2500 miles on the rebuilt top end. Good shape no rust.
  • should I have the valves adjusted ?
  • I have replaced w Toyota parts where I’m able to. But the starter / alternator can only be found in rebuilds.  Do you think Toyota does a good job w the rebuild stuff like this ?
  • keep the EGR or block it off ? I have an antique plate on it and it does not need to go through smog or inspection ever in Texas.
  •   Last my truck stumbled the other day on start up.  Had to really gas it to get it to stay on.  Fuel pump I original.  Should I replace ?

Tacoma I'm guessing?

@mountainmanjoe
They didn't sell the Tacoma back then. Back then there were the T100 and Pickup

if it doesn't make any noise generally those engines never need the valves adjustment do you stainless steel shims that generally don't wear out. That's illegal to block out the EGR but if you do of course it will run better it's your vehicle you can do whatever you want with it if it doesn't need inspection cuz it's an antique
