I know, I shouldn’t have bought it.  But a great deal 12k miles on it. Ive heard the exhaust manifolds are a weak point.  That because the 7+8 pistons run hot it can warp and pop the bolt heads off creating a leak.  Is it reasonable to replace the oem manifolds (that we know are flawed) with aftermarket bbk shorties.. or some other that you recommend to avoid this problem.

thank you!

Yes, replace with proven better quality exhaust manifold.  I'd be looking at solutions for that back side cooling too as it is gonna cause issues until it is resolved.  Keep eye on TSB's.

Are the bbk a reasonable replacement? This is the 5.7. Or is there a better brand, i live in the rust belt so id be getting the ceramic coated version. But if you a better suggestion im all ears.

and thank you I appreciate your help and time.

yea, but a bit overkill and don't expect any noticeable power (header claims work in liaison with other replaced parts). If ya just want that 1 issue resolved, check the "ram forums", I'm sure there's a couple more economical alternatives there. But yea, those bbk shouldn't warp. YVW
