2019 subaru Forester limited. Do I need a bidirectional scan tool to do the rear brakes? Service manual says nothing about it. Youtube has videos that show people screwing/compressing calipers back in after unplugging the Electric brake. Others say it will throw codes. If it does require a bidrectional tool, can you advise a cheap one.
Thanks C

Well I use it by directional scan tool in the one that I use cost $1,700. I doubt if you want to spend that. That's one of the reasons they make all that crap so people can rip you off fixing their car and you can't do it yourself. I would not advise unplugging and screwing stuff in. You can destroy stuff that way
