Hi, I have a 2019 Toyota Highlander that has the feature where if you're stopped and push down on the brake hard the engine will stop until you release the brake. I absolutely hate that feature. I know about the button on the dash to turn it off but is there a way to permanently turn it off ?

I hope it doesn't leave a marker algorithm in you ECU because that will void your warranty. So this guy's website says he sold over 800 and you believe it AND that makes it good? Are you kidding?

Thanks Mountainmanjoe. Looks like he has sold over 800 so it must be good. I believe it's just a simple 555 timer IC that flips the button when the engine is first turned on. Might just give it a try and I hope that Toyota quits with this feature.
sales numbers are a very poor metric.
I'm sure hundreds of people bought that hokus pokus EFFUEL device which does nothing but blink some lights.
Hi, just wanted to give an update on this device. Installing it was easy per the video. It works great and I no longer have to put up with the auto shut off.
