Hi, recently I replaced the fuel pump on my 2012 Lexus GX 460 with 168000 miles, it wasn’t completely bad but it started to fail as sometimes took a while to start the engine and when I opened the gas cap while on it makes a really bad sound so I bought it (OEM), after that, the gauge stopped working, it got stuck on empty, I measured the resistance on the sending unit and it seems fine, nevertheless I replaced too with an OEM one, but still nothing, after looking online for must of the cars there’s a way to reset the fuel gauge, my question is, is there a way to do that with lexus/toyota? Or do I need a high level scan tool or what? Help!

- Well of course first check the wiring. It could have damaged the wiring taking that stuff in and out and that's exactly what will happen. Or if some wire is touched ground it could have shorted the gauge in the dash out. You need to check that too. I've never seen them. Have any problems with needing reprogramming
