2020 Toyota Highlander doesn’t always start

Hello,

My parents have a 2020 Highlander AWD with 12,000 miles. They have had an issue. They have factory remote start within the stock key fob it comes with. Once they start it and open the door the vehicle shuts off, as they all do. However, there have been a couple times when the vehicle doesn't shut off and once they enter the vehicle it begins to act up. Messages stating "vehicle not ready to drive". They turn it off then try to manually turn it on but only the dash lights, AC, radio turn on not the car. They cannot get the vehicle to turn on to drive until they try to use the remote start process again. They are concerned the vehicle might leave them stranded. Have you heard of this issue? What do you recommend?

It's under warranty, yes?  Take it back to the dealer to have it fixed.  It's probably a programming glitch.
