I recently purchased a 2020 Lexus NX 300 FSport with 99,000 miles. Every now and again it starts hard - sounds like its bogged down and doesnt want to turn over but it eventually does and then runs fine. All the other times it fires right up, no hesitation. And it only happens when the engine is warm - like running errands and I'm starting and stopping frequently. Earlier this spring the battery, fuel pump and spark plugs were replaced so I'm guessing the previous owner was trying to diagnose the same issue and gave up. I live in WI and the cold weather doesnt seem to be an issue. It runs on premium fuel, last tank I put in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner hoping maybe it was something stupid simple but it is still doing it. No check engine light, no stored codes.
Wow! You can see they're guessing that fixes changing the fuel pump and all that other stuff. Since there are no codes or anything, it's going to be a stinker to figure out. For instance, if they didn't use a factory fuel pump, it'll often do that because the pump won't sink with all the Lexus software and hardware. I'd have to see that one in person. If you're anywhere near Clarksville, Tennessee got to check them out free during the weekdays.
