I’m hoping someone can help me with this situation I’m having with my 2020 Ram Rebel 1500 truck…
Supposedly, it was leaking tranny oil per the guys at Oil Changers.
So, I took it to the dealer and the mechanic said:
“Someone worked on this vehicle near or on the oil cooler. Oil cooler, seals and oil need to be replaced.”
QUESTIONS:
• Would the oil cooler need to be “worked on” during an oil change? If not
• In what instance would that part need to be accessed? The only things that have been done to the truck are oil changes. Nothing else has needed work (since it’s almost new).
• Do you know if those oil coolers are defective? Or,
• perhaps there is a design flaw? I’ve read that they are made of plastic instead of aluminum which is stronger.
Your assistance is VERY MUCH appreciated.
