2020 Toyota Camry Engines: 4 "cylinder" or V6

I have an option of getting a 2020 Toyota Camry, but see some models are 2.5 Liters.  V^ engines are usually the better choice all the way around for me in terms of reliability and longevity, but Toyota makes some great products.  Would you recommend staying away from the 2.5 liter and getting the V6?

Anyone had experience with the 2.5 liter from 2018 model?

The I4 are extremly popular in Camrys I believe 90% sold were 2.5s in some years but they are excellent engines I prefer it but the V6 is also reliable you can't go wrong with either. If you like the power of the V6 and more familiar with them hey go ahead. And it does 0-60 in 5.8 seconds its no slouch;)

The four cylinder has enough power for the car. It is zippy too (despite the old ones that were sort of sluggish). Also, you get better gas mileage and repair cost will be cheaper since it is easier to work on (for example compare changing the spark plugs).

If you are trying to get the most mileage and life possible out of the vehicle, the I4 is your best bet, including for better fuel economy and lower repair costs.  That being said the V6 can go the distance too, but I4 is simpler and will last a little longer.

If it were me I would probably just get the four, but both are excellent engines so you can't go wrong either way. Try both and see which one you prefer.

I personally prefer inline over the V. But either choice is great from Toyota.

I would go 2.5 for the extra gas mileage myself.

I4, … sufficient power, excellent economy. Unless, of course, you’re into drag racing with Toyota Corollas and a likes.

Wow!  The 4 lasts longer than the v6?  That really surprises me!

I'm older now and have had my share of fast cars, so I'm looking for more reliable, long term vehicles now.  I'm sure the 4 has enough power for me, my main concern was its reliability over the v6.

The 4 has enough zip that you won't be missing the 6 much. When in eco mode you'll get 30 plus mpg easily.
