- I have a new 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE (2k miles), and I have never owned a vehicle with ECO mode. What are your thoughts using this mode, and is there any danger on the engine's life with on/off every time you stop?

Auto/stop function does put more stress on the motor for .5-1 MPG gain. Highly recommend leaving it off. If you're in hot climates you'll definitely keep it off lol

I have a 2020 Highlander LE AWD and I drive it in ECO mode most of the time. As far as Start/Stop, I do not like it and turn it off once the engine starts. I personally feel that "OFF" should be the default position.
