Thinking about purchasing a 2021 acura rdx awd for my wife. Wanted to see what all you car knowledgeable folks thought about this vehicle. It's a loaner from the dealership with 13k miles.
Just talking about the car itself. Cool car with one of my favorite engines 4 cylinder of all time, the Honda K-Series. That engine has been around for 20+ years, so it has a solid foundation, even with all the current variations. The transmission seems to be decent so far, it’s new so it is hard to say completely. Overall. It seems like a fun car.
The engine in the RDX was a 2.0L turbocharged engine. That’s a relatively new engine.

Totally. It’s a turbo engine.
The way I see it, base K-Series engines in the past have handled aftermarket turbo. So my projection is that the RDX engine will be fine. But you’re right, only time will tell.
Not great but also not terrible. You didn’t state the price. See below: The engine (2.0L turbo-4) especially if well maintained should take you to at least 150,000 miles. The 10-speed automatic transmission was still relatively new so jury is out on its longevity. If you don’t need AWD, I would pass on it as they can become expensive to fix over time, plus the 4 tires need to all be the same condition with AWD so as not to put additional wear on the AWD system. If there is wear on one tire you generally have to replace them all, which is added expense. This is why we don’t recommend AWD unless you absolutely need it.

If you want something that will last you longer take a look at the Lexus crossovers.
