Is it okay to drive this auto in awd on dry roads?, or is it harmful to the drive train?
Check in your owner's manual. 4×4, which can be damaged if you drive it that way, and AWD are different systems. If you have a switch with 4×4 high, 4×4 low and 2WD, then don't do it, that's a 4×4 system meant for off-reading, and not AWD. Trucks have this setup, most crossovers don't. Your owner's manual is the best place to look for this information.
Thank You for your detailed answer. Kinda what I thought. Bob
Operating instructions are found in the Owner's Manual
If it is AWD, it is safe. 4WD, no.
Check your owners manual for details.
There is a strong odor of gas when my Blazer starts. Please explain and is it dangerous?
Since this is an unrelated issue, can you put this question in its own thread? Plus it gets more visibility and answers that way. Thank you.
