Hey Scotty. Long time fan that’s learned a lot from your videos. I’m thinking of getting a new 2021 Crosstrek Sport as it’s made with a 2.5 liter engine instead of the 2 liter engine. What is your opinion and what do you think of Subaru as a daily driver. Thanks

I think the 2021 Crosstrek is available with manual transmission but only with the smaller 2.0 engine and lower trim levels. If you want automatic or want the 2.5, or higher trim level, which requires the automatic, yeah it's a CVT.
It’s a fine driver. Reliability is above average. Usability is off the charts.
Downside is that even with the 2.5 it’s still not real fast.
Also, in the current market, good luck finding one. Don’t expect a deal.
