My 2021 Highlander hybrid is not completely filling with Gas. It shuts off after 12 gallons. I know the tank is 17.1 gallons. I called TOYOTA to file a complaint they say that there are no recalls. I called my dealer and after inspection, the dealer said there is no problem. I am going to record a video next time when I fill up. I would like to know if this is a known issue or is it just happing to my car? Any suggested fix for this problem?

Even when the gas gauge shows empty, there is still some gas in the tank and that's why you can not fill the tank with the full capacity since it is not completely empty.

try pulling the pump nozzle out of the filler hole a little bit to allow some air to get past
