Hi Scotty,
I recently purchased a 2021 Honda CR-V LX from a Honda dearlership in the DC metro area (Honda of Greenbelt, MD) with 28,810 miles for $28,000. Question - Was this a good deal and is this a good model year for the CR-V? I noticed that this CR-V has more pick-up than our 2012 CR-V EXL.
CVT or ZF 9 speed transmission?
Overall, it is probably one of the best CRV’s you can get, assuming everything checks out. It was built towards the end of the generation, so all the kinks are worked out.
I’m actually okay with the Honda CVT. My concern is the ZF 9 speed transmission which have had problems in other makes and models.
Thanks for the feedback. It's actually an EX model (not LX) AWD with a CVT transmission. I got rid of the 2014 GMC Terrain SLT that I had due to all of the money that I shelled out to keep it running....never will I buy an American car again! Before that, we had a 2007 Toyota Corolla S. which I loved to death and never gave us any problems. I would still have that car if it wasn't hit by a hit and run driver, which totaled it with 176,000 miles on it. We also have a 2012 CR-V that is still going. Only issue with that was the replacement of the power steering rack in 2020.
