[Solved] 2021 Mazda CX5 Carbon Edition AWD (2.5NA) or 2019 Honda accord Sport CVT (1.5t)?

My dad had gotten a 2019 Honda accord sport with the 1.5l turbo cvt in the mid summer of 2020 to replace his old daily (an 07 Mazda 3). However we only had it for 6 months before getting stolen. Turns out that Honda Accords are the most stolen car in NY.. go figure. Anyways, December of 2020, my dad buys a 2021 Mazda CX5 Carbon Edition with the non-Turbo 2.5L skyactiv G with a 6-Speed-Auto. In the long run, is the Mazda a good choice?

Mazda's cars are a lot better than a decade ago. The 6 speed automatic doesn't have any problems till now and the engine is pretty reliable except for the cylinder deactivation (honestly more reliable than the Turbo GDi 1.5 engine in the midsize Accord...).

Time will tell my friend.

How do you like the CX-5 compared to the Accord?

WAY more comfortable and easier to drive than the accord for sure, the only thing I'd say is bad about the Mazda is going up hill on a highway, it tends to up shift and down shift a lot but I'd put it into manual mode. Over all me/ my parents are enjoying the hell out of the CX5.

Interior quality 11/10

Congratulations!

Mazda CX5 is an excellent choice, IMHO.
