2021 Subaru Forester Crooked Steering Wheel

Hi all and Happy Holidays

I recently purchased a Subaru Forester and noticed that the steering wheel is not perpendicular to the dashboard as measured from eash side of the steering wheel .

If you were to place ypur hands at 9 and 3 oclock the right hand would measure just about 3/4 of an inch difference from each side.

it was easily noticed just by a visual observation. I did measure it to confirm. Also you can also visually notice that the steering wheel is offset to the right slightly on the column .

I started to read some alternative  forums and there are other various Subaru owners that have similar issues.  I took it to the subaru dealer and they said it was within specifications LoL, I dont buy this that this is originally engineered this way.isually and mechanically crooked, cocked to the

I can just imagine a control column on an airplane being off this way. Humm

Can someone please advise?, weather they have some experience with this or have heard from someone else.   I was planing on trying to correct this myself, since they dont want to help me with this althought the vehicle is still under warranty!!!

Also please advise, If there are other things that I should be aware or look out for on 2021 Forester.

I am a licensed aircraft technician, so am am somewhat mechanically inclined.

your advised in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all for your help...

Sorry, I must have explaned it wrong,
The vehicle Drives straight and the steering wheel wheel is alighned with the wheels, It does track straight.

The issue is just that the sttering wheel is tilted inward on the left hand as compared to the right hand. for example, its like if I had a longer left arm than my right, Just to give a comparison. Yes its under warranty, but the 1st dealer I went to said that it is within spec. Laugh Out Loud
I have an appointment for a 2nd Subaru dealer , maybe they will rectify it, as they should
If they dont, I will have to tackle it myself, just wondering how involved , labor intensive this can get, to shift the steering column a bit towards the right, Is there an adjustment screw? Ect

Being a 2021 model it must still be under warranty. Make the dealer fix it.

Your front end alignment is out of specification.  It needs to be properly adjusted.  Just remember that if you get the car back from the dealer and there's a dead body in the trunk, the dealer will tell you "That's normal."

If you work on it yourself and another problem with the steering mechanism results that may void your warranty if detected whether your work had anything to do with it or not. Maybe get hold of Subaru corporate. A lot of dealers will tell you "that's normal" if the car goes backwards when you put it in Drive.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. From what you said the steering wheel should be 90 degrees from the dash but is not. I don't know of any adjustment for this.
