Hi Scotty,

 

love your videos.

I was wondering if I can install 235-40-R19 that normally takes 255-40-R19 (Brand new spare tires I would like to use)

2022 TLX A-SPEC tire size

That's quite a difference.

It's winter. Are you sure you really want less traction?

And worse economy on the highway?

Stick to stock. Your vehicle was designed to operate on the stock size.

You're considering tires that are 20mm (approx. 3/4") wider than the ones you have now.  You need to make sure you have adequate clearance in the wheel wells to support these wider tires.

Don’t think so. I think that’s too big a difference. 
You might look at Discount Tire website   They give optional tire sizes to fit your wheel size. You can see if they consider it compatible.

Hello, thank you all for your response. The 235’s would be summer tires. 


Still... less braking power, less economy, car is closer to the ground ...
Not a good idea. Just get the correct tire.
