- Unfortunately I'm looking to buy a car during our economic situation. I have to drive roughly 65 miles one way. I have to drive up hill for some of the drive. What would be better for the commute/ hill driving?

The K24 has plenty of torque for spirited driving in the mountains, all day long.

The 2.4l 4 cylinder has 185 hp and 181 pound-feet of torque.
It is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The 3.4l V6 has 278 hp with 252 pound-feet of torque mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Driving uphill for extended periods would be a more arduous task for the 4 cylinder motor compared to the stronger six. Not being a fan of a manual or continuously variable transmission, I would prefer the six-speed along with the extra power and torque of the V6. Plus it’s a very smooth running engine.
