Like the title says, is the ‘22 Camry a good car to get? Looking at a AWD, automatic transmission (not sure if they have standard transmission). Anyway, what do you think? Should I get it? Is it a good car to get?
Only time will tell.
No one knows how long this latest generation of Camry’s will last, especially with the 2.5L naturally aspirated I4 Dynamic Force Engine which the XSE has. The XSE V6 is another trim offered and that engine (3.5L naturally aspirated V6) is definitely more true and tried, so I’d personally go that route unless you absolutely need to have AWD (only offered with the 2.5L I4 engine). The same holds true with the 8-speed AT as the jury is out on its longevity/durability.
Despite all that, if you are in the market for a brand new sedan, I don’t see how you can do any better and 2022 model year is now the 5th model year in that generation so presumably some of the bugs have been worked out.
No, there is no standard transmission option.
And yes, it is a good car.
