I bought a new Tacoma. I now have a little over 3kiles on it. I love the truck and I will be installing a custom audio system (2k watts), lifting it by 3in, adding 33in tires, armor, and off road bumpers and winches etc.. The truck will be a daily driver but I do plan to do some overlanding with it in the future.
My only gripe with the truck is that the V6 really feels under powered (even when stock as mine still is stock now)...
I expect I will probably need to regear at some point but would it be a "safe" to add a supercharger, intake, exhaust, etc? Or what would be the best way to make the truck perform "like it should" but not greatly affect the reliability and longevity of the truck? I do plan to have this truck 20 years from now and could see putting 500k miles on it in its lifetime and would prefer not to replace an engine or transmission...
What other things should I expect to do to make this truck last for my intended use?
Thanks for your advice! I always enjoy watching your videos.

it will only get worse after the lift, tires, and other heavy hardware

Say goodbye to reliability and warranty coverage.

Then I hope you're a skilled mechanic or you have oodles of money (sounds like maybe you do) because off-roading is hard on vehicles, and all that extra stuff you're adding is going add maintenance and stress the vehicle.
Putting a lift kit on will destroy your drivetrain system by messing up the geometry of the drive shafts. Putting on large tires to try to look cool has effectively ruined your original final drive ratio resulting in no acceleration (power). Your warranty is shot and keeping the truck for 20 years is a fairy tale at this point. A supercharger is just going to hasten the destruction of what is a questionable engine with its combination regular and direct injection. Make sure you have your lottery winnings set aside to replace the gazillion sensors that will fail, and soon. Other than that, sounds great. Oh, I forgot, that cold air intake your considering will totally screw up your engine as well.
