Hi Scotty,
I ran into trouble after trying to replace the timing chain on a 2011 mini cooper; while trying to torque the crankshaft bolt the flywheel lock pin came out and the crankshaft started spining but the camshafts are still locked in place. can I keep spinning the crankshaft until I can align the locking pin with the flywheel without damaging the engine? what do you recommend me to do in this case?
2011 Mini Cooper Countryman
1.6L natural aspirated engine
6 speed manual
Please help!!!

Well, as long as you do it by hand, yeah you can turn it. You're not going to bend anything by hand unless you're Superman
