Is the 2022 Toyota Tundra a good engine with a V6 Twin Turbo will it last as long as the V8'S?
Once you have heard a Tundra with a 5.7L V8 and Corsa Sport exhaust, you'll forget all about the turbo option.
I would stick with the tried and true 5.7L for at least a few years to see how the new engine does.
A turbocharged V6 will not last as long as a naturally aspirated V8.
No one knows about the quality of any 2022 vehicle, but one thing that is clear is that normally aspirated V8s are more reliable than turbo ones.
Naturally aspirated engines last considerably longer than engines that are turbo or super charged.
I would choose V8 if I was in your shoes
Too new, but Toyota usually takes their time to test and refine so it won’t surprise me if they hold up (at least compared to some competitors). However, we just don’t know yet. If I wanted a Tundra, I’d stick to the true and tried NA V8. You’ll take a hit in mpg, sure, but less things to go wrong compared to the TT engine.
