Hey Scotty have you seen what they are doing with the new Tundra's putting a 6 cyl. turbo. I like you hate when these truck mfg. put these 6 cyl. in trucks just like I hate when they put a 6 in a Mustang or Camaro and call them a sports car.. I'm not happy with Toyota giving in and they are going to ruin there quality in my book. So I guess if I go looking for a Tundra it will have to me a older one.. So Sad.
Hopefully the will keep the current 5.7 Liter V-8 and have the V-6 Twin Turbo as an option. I'm VERY eager to see what the new generation of Tundra has to offer. (I have a 2014 Tundra, V-8 TRD 4X4 Max Crew Cab) She's a beast...pulls our 7,000 pound 32-foot camper all over Colorado...haven't had a single issue with her.
I think they have to do the V6 as at least an option. I loved my 2014 Platinum CrewMax but on a good day, downhill with a tailwind I could MAYBE get 14MPG out of it. Eventually the cost to run the thing was just too great. I know that has to be dragging down their MPG average so I would not be surprised to see the 5.7L replaced.
