So we're in the market for a SUV. We live on the island of Oahu so total milage per year won't be much: guessing maybe 2-3k per year. We have a 2022 Camry V6 already, and want an SUV.
I have it narrowed down to a CX-5 Turbo or the RAV4. Prices are roughly the same. This will be a car that should out-live us (same as the Camry will) so realistically will be the last car we buy.
The RAV4 has great track record, but the CX-5 Turbo has a little more zoom zoom which can help with acceleration onto the highway (on-ramps here are pretty short tbh) or passing. And as for styling, I think I prefer the CX-5.
My real question is: does it matter which car I get? Given 2-3k total miles per year, does it really matter far as the longevity and reliability of either car? It could take 30 years and only have around 60-90k miles on it.
Thanks in advance!
Yeah with your little mileage you can pick whatever one you want. Personally I take the RAV4 because I'm not a turbo fan they will wear out faster
