2024 Rav4 non Hybrid 2.5 liter. I believe 8 speed auto trans. I'm getting ready to do a drain and fill on the transmission at 50K miles. i want to confirm if all you need to do is a drain and fill with OEM transmission fluid. Drain it, measure (-3.5 quarts) and refill EXACTLY what came out. I've done this process numerous times on other vehicles with great results. After consulting the old faithful Youtube, it appears its more complicated on this vehicle (needs to be 110F , computer stuff, redrain after a certain temp, etc, etc) i find it hard to believe this is all necessary with a simple drain and fill. Can you advise if something changed on this 8 speed transmission or if i'm good to go with a drain/fill?.. THis will be the first transmission service on this vehicle as i purchased it new. Thanks!

There should be an easier way. Check the car care nut on YouTube. I just posted the video the other day

the car care nut was one of the videos showing the complicated process. Doesn't look very straight forward unfortunately
@jaybood1977 find a good trans shop
