2025 Ford Maverick or Something else?

I drive about 750-850 miles a week for work and I currently drive a 21’ RAV4 Le that’s been good to me with 243k miles and no major repairs and I’m looking for something that can tow a 2013 17.5ft bass tracker reliably weighs around 2000-2200lbs from what I’ve seen with trailer. I need something with good MPG for work but also tow capacity that’s preferably under $30k. Im considering the AWD maverick with the 4k package. Any advice or other suggestions would be helpful.

getting stuck at the boat launch ... I’m considering another RAV 4 the adventure trim with awd

yeah awd will make a huge difference.

comfortability of the drivers seat

I didn't like the seat either. It's made for people with no shoulders. Maybe some kind of seat cover can fix that.

I'd stick with what you have. Toyota will last forever vs that Maverick. $30,000 buys an awful lot of gas. The Maverick is Hecho en Mexico. Ford quality is nowhere to be found, even on trucks that are Hecho en USA, I can't imagine what Mexican Ford-produced quality is. You almost always get what you pay for with cheap "domestic" vehicles.

@justin-shepherd I think his concern is with towing, however a search reveals the RAV4 can pull up up to 3,500lbs depending on trim/equipment (of course they won't tell you what specifically ... maybe trailer brakes are required?)

I didn't think about that. I would think that if towing something weighing that much, 3500 pounds, there would be a trim package with that as an option. Maybe Toyota oversized the brakes in anticipation of somebody possibly towing something near the tow limit. Idk.

@justin-shepherd yea it’s less about towing on the road as much as getting stuck at the boat launch unable to get the boat out of the water; I’m considering another RAV 4 the adventure trim with awd vs the maverick awd hybrid. I do need to test drive the maverick but after spending so much time in a rav4 I definitely have some complaints about highway noise and comfortability of the drivers seat. I will say though the reliability has shocked me considering I used to drive a 4cyl 2013 Tacoma that had a LOT of issues.  (Still love the tacos though)
