Hello Scotty, I will like to know out of a 2026 Honda 2026 Pilot AWD Touring with cylinder de-activation and a 2026 Mazda CX‑90 3.3 Turbo S Premium Sport with a turbo charged engine and a mild hybrid system. Which SUV will last longer and be more reliable and have less maintenance and running costs in the long run, let’s say over a 20 year period? I intend to import one into a small island in the Caribbean.

That is not very realistic. It is unlikely that any of today's new vehicles are going to last 20 years without developing serious problems due to their complexity, which leads to fragility. They are disposable items.
Will there be dealers for parts and service on the Caribbean island you mentioned? Many repairs and maintenance items require dealer-level diagnostic tools and dealer-only parts.
@chucktobias We have the three main none luxury brand Japanese dealers on our island as well as a Mazda dealership. But my money comes from trading and I do not know when I will get this kind of money again. So I wanted something that will last.
You will find if you do some research online that many mechanics and others involved in the automotive business will tell you the same thing about today's new cars. Expecting decades of reliable service without expensive repairs is being overly optimistic.
Have you bought any of the cars you had been asking about these years?
@g-t I have been working on finishing the house first. I am now getting onto which SUV I will purchase for my family. My desired vehicle has changed over the years as newer models are released. I just got rid of a Toyota Voxy minivan and a Nissan Caravan that my father left for me, so I am looking for something new now.
Take a look at options you have there. Do some test driving to find out what you like. Check out others' experience there. If you can still get something without too much electronics (handbrake instead of electric one for example), the better. I'd also avoid turbocharged petrol engines.

@g-t What is your opinion of a turbo diesel engine, though, like what is sold in the Mazda CX-80 XD Drive Edition? https://www.mazda.co.jp/cars/passenger/cx-80/ Are Mazda turbo diesel engines any better? A turbo diesel engine is the only version that is available for the non-PHEVs CX-80s from Japan that are sold in my country. I really hate how ugly the front of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250 looks. And 250 Land Cruisers here are very expensive. The dealer quoted me the equivalent of USD $130,404.42 for the last 7 seater one that they sold. People are actually buy them, however, I am not that stupid.
In general diesels are suitable if you do a lot of long distance driving. They cost more and the maintenance is more expensive than petrols.
A quick research revealed Mazda CX-80 came out just 2 years ago. Too new for me. Diesel version is s mild hybrid. I personally dislike that but nowadays but the engines nowadays need to meet stricter emissions criteria and are thus more complex. And more complexity means costly repairs when things start to break down.
