Scotty, I am looking at a 23 Honda ridgeline. I would use it for towing of a boat weighing at 2500lbs. Should I be worried about the fact that it has a rubber timing belt and interference engine? I would hate for that belt to break and ruin the engine and be stranded far from home while towing a boat. How much of a concern is it if I take good care of it and replace the belt at recommended intervals? Is my concern real or am I making a big deal out of nothing? Thanks for your reply.

It should be fine, Honda makes good engines. If you're hard on the throttle all the time, I would replace the timing belt a little sooner than the interval recommended by the manufacturer.
