I currently own a 2015 2nd gen trd sport tacoma, with the 5 speed auto trans and 4.0L v6. I love it, but its not as flashy as the 3rd gens with the 3.5L. What are the pros/cons of the 3rd gen tacomas? Any reasons not to upgrade in the future? The 2nd gens are pretty much bulletproof, but lack the style of newer ones. Just looking for info

Mechanically and structurally they are identical, the only differences are purely cosmetic. Upgrading would be a big expense for cosmetic purposes.

They are no flaws for either 2nd gen or 3rd gen Tacoma. They are both bulletproof so there is no reason for upgrading it.
