I got a 98 Chevy s10 with relatively low mileage, recently my engine blew so I need to replace it. I would like to 350 swap it but also considered putting a stock 4.3 back in. I have decent mechanic skills and resources. Should I go with the 350 swap or back to original. P.s. the price of the 350 is cheaper than getting the 4.3 and having someone else installing it.

LS swap kits are widely available, which is what I think most people do. Small block 350 should fit but might need custom fabrication. Make sure you can legally do it. I may misunderstand but I think some states (like CA) won’t let you put an older engine in a newer vehicle.
If you go to the small block 350, you're also going to have to do major front suspension modifications to account for the added weight. I would stick with the Vortec 4.3 and build it to the max.
