Scotty my dad has a 1950 pontiac silver streak with a 350 engine in it. It has an overheating problem the hoses get very hard. Could it be the radiator cap? Smoke comes out of it.

Could be tons of things but the hoses get hard that means it's holding pressure often it means your head gasket is blowing so start with my test how to tell if your head gasket is blown Scotty
