The water pump failed on my 2008 Mazda CX-9 FWD with 170k miles. Mechanic quoted $3500. It’s a second car - my kids drive it. No problems or prior history of overheating until the day it stalled out with check engine light on. I towed it to the shop. Just put new brakes and tires on a month ago too. No problems otherwise so do you think I’d get 250k miles from it? What would Scotty do? Thank you!
