I have a 3800 series 2 engine that needs rebuilt...how much am I looking at spending...and does anyone recommend anyone? I live in southern Indiana...

You could try Jasper or ATK. If it were me, I would get a reman short block and take the head to the local machine shop for a rebuild, then assemble the engine myself.
Ive never rebuilt an engine...ive only ever delt with suspension and body work...or I definitely would
You can do it, it's a lot of fun actually.
That engine run hot as hell....could that have hurt the transmission at all?? Didn't seem to at the time was just wondering
