3rd gen Tacoma frame recall problems
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem with Toyota but I recently moved to sc from ny. I tried to get my frame recall spray done before I moved but no dealerships had any availability before I moved when I contacted them 5+ months out. Unfortunately Toyota has told me because I registered my car in sc it is no longer eligible for the recall work because sc is not a cold weather state. Any frame problems from here on out are not warranties by Toyota and are my problem. So despite it living in my for the past 5 years and the dealers unable to do more than 1 vehicle a month I was told by the dealership, it is on me. Anyone know how I can get Toyota to resolve this issue?
i have a 2005 Tacoma that needed the frame replaced, the condition of the frame was the mitigating factor on replacement not where I lived but this sounds like different recall.
I would just keep demanding to speak with the superiors of the reps that are telling you that you dont qualify until you get as high up the ladder as they will allow you and refuse to take no for an answer. Those customer service rept just read off q cards they have no authority do do anything else but read you the company line.
If you can prove you were registered in a cold weather state for 5 years, that would seem like a legitimate argument
Send Scotty an email with all the facts & evidence, requesting (nicely) that he makes a video about your situation.
Fingers crossed he’ll call out their shenanigans in a video & then Toyota will eat their words..
Even Toyota can be bastards! Send toyota your original recal letter with your NY address and see what they say. GO YANKEES!
