I was wondering if a 2007 mustang gt v8 3v would be a reliable 200k highway milage car
If it really had mainly highway mileage that's true of course have a mechanic check it out trust no one when buying a used car
Those cars were great cars to drive. A nice sound and enough punch to put a smile on your face.
If you can find a clean one and it passes a mechanic inspection, it could be a very reliable car. You just want to check on two things:
1. This was the timeframe when Ford was using the two piece spark plugs. The first thing I would do is swap them out for traditional plugs. The two piece were notorious for breaking in half and causing all kinds of problems. So that would be item one for me.
2. The second issue they have is the cam phasers tend to have issues at times. Here is a link to more info on what I'm talking about. It would be too long to explain it here.

Bottom line, have it checked out before you buy.
