Hey Scotty I got a 99 tercel for 500$ with 200 k miles the car runs great and hold well on the freeway the thing is is it needs shocks and some wheel ball bearing ? Is that a good deal ? And can I put 2000 Corolla shocks in it ? As it’s the same car ? Advice or suggestions from previous tercel owners ?
If it runs I guess sure but Tercel's aren't really that well made you would be better off with a Corolla, Camry, Avalon, or even a same year Nissan Sentra.
Tercel is not a well made car and you may put a lot of money into it Evaluate how much it will cost for you total. I think it is better off buying a Corolla though.
It's not clear if you have already bought that car. If not, it probably would be best to look for something else. If you did buy it the price was certainly right for just about anything that runs but as others have said the Tercels were not the best made cars in the world so you're not going to want to put a lot of money into it.
Shocks and wheel bearings should not be too big a deal especially if you can do the work yourself. According to rockauto.com parts database that car has struts front and rear, and they are not the same as on a Corolla.
