4RUNNER maintenance

Topic starter

I purchased a 2011 Limited 4Runner from a dealership in TX. The car only has 44k miles. The car is super clean and shows no outward signs of issues. My question is, should I stick to maintenance schedule that was recommended by manufacturer or do I do more proactive maintenance ahead of mileage schedule due to the age of my new/used ride?

Stick to the recommended intervals in the owner’s manual. If you can, try to obtain service records from the dealer so you know what’s been done to the car. If none are available, it would be a good idea to change out all the fluids just so you know for sure that everything is fresh.

Thanks. I did get records. It’s only had oil changes, engine and cabin air filters, new battery, and tires.

Welcome to the 4Runner family. In addition to this forum there’s another great forum for 4Runner enthusiasts.

You can find lots of info and answers for your particular T4R.

Thanks. Excited for all the possibilities with my truck. Last car was a camaro which was not useful in snow or for hauling anything around.
