Hi Scotty, big fan been watching ur videos for years..My question is i have a 2004 4runner 4.0l (great engine) I brought at 190k and currently 240k ..I don't know the history.  Would you change the rear-end gear oil? I want to keep it running top notch as long as possible.  I was always told if transmission fluid was never changed don't changed it..I don't know if that applies to differentials..thank you for ur videos and time...big fan Ryan Rowell from Bham Alabama

Of course - why wouldn't you?

I was always told if transmission fluid was never changed don't changed it.

Only automatics. See our FAQ.

Nope. The same advice is never given because axles don't have clutches (which is what wears out in an automatic)

You bet.
