[Solved] 4Runner Rumble/Gurgle noise

Hey Scotty I own a 2005 4Runner V8 4.7 L, Limited edition. It’s got 313k miles and is running like a champ. I recently had the timing belt done about 2k miles ago, the technicians *may* have made a mistake and didn’t tighten the compressor bolt which fell out which pushes the pulley out and shredded some of our serpentine belts on our way to California for me and my wife’s honeymoon lol. Anyways after a few serpentine belts were shredded to pieces and a competent technician was able to help us we put the bolt back and we’re on our way. But ever since then I have noticed a gurgle or rumble kind of similar to how a diesel sounds that’s very noticeably coming from the engine bay and can be heard well from inside the vehicle…After it warms up for about 15-20 minutes it goes away for the most part. I’ve been meticulous on oil changes and other fluid changes recently and want this runner to last me a long time. Any ideas as to what it could be and what level of concern I should have haha. Thanks in advance, I love your YouTube channel!

Flip to about 1:20 ish to hear it best.

Hmm, start with checking all the pulleys. Fingers crossed it’s just a pulley/s & not internal engine damage.

Ya for reals, I’ll check em again because that noise does sound very similar to mine, I just don’t understand why it would do that if I just replaced my water pump and timing belt🤔

Well the pulley may have got damaged when the bolt fell out. Start with checking that Ac compressor pulley first.

Good idea I’ll go check there!
