I have a 2006 4RUNNER with around 180k miles. I was hearing a clunk noise in the rear of the vehicle. I took it to Toyota and the mechanic said both trailing arm mounts on the frame were rusted off. The frame has no rust though. H3 said the only fix is to replace the whole frame because the mounts are part of the frame. Is there any other fix because I love this truck but Toyota is saying it would be $12k fir a frame job.

Frame repair is very expensive. There are very few shops that do it, because nobody wants to pay for it.
