Been thinking about picking up a used 4th gen 4runner and have always been reluctant to looking at the 4.7L. However, more recently ive been doing more research on them and reading about how bulletproof the motors are as long as maintenance is up to speed and timing belts are changed. I tow a small boat from time to time but also tend to do some highway driving a few times a month. Also would take it on beach every now and again.
what would be your first choice? Obviously it would be of higher mileage. If i set a budget for 10k what would you say should be a limit on the mileage?

Well sure was super high mileage like over 200,000 I wouldn't overpay it that's for sure but they are great vehicles it's just hard to find them cuz most people keep them forever and many of them for sale have been wrecked flooded or stolen check that closely
