4th Gen 4Runner Engine seized - fix or scrap?

Hi Scotty- Firstly, love watching your videos- thank you!

We love our 2004 SR5 4runner, orig. owners, well kept and no main engine problems.  That is untile it overheated and seized up going up the mountains recently.  Found out that the lower radiator hose came off and leaked all fluid out.  a week and half after Brakes Plus did a fluid flush on the radiator.  They say it was not taken off and not their fault, and say it needs a new engine.

It will not turn over and is seized up.  What would you do? Sell it as is, or fix it?

Thanks for any help.

I'd fetch it cuz they don't make them like they used to and they sold tons of those engines. There's plenty of wrecked engines and junk yards. You could find that if you don't want to buy a rebuilt one
