Hey guys! I got a 2006 Nissan Frontier 5AT V6 4x4 with 250000km. The four wheel drive system has been acting up. Before it would have trouble switch from 4wd back to 2wd. I would shut the engine, switch to 4 low, restart the truck and the issue would go away. Now the truck is stuck in 2wd, it won’t go to 4wd no matter what. I’ve tried reversing; the restart method, and had no success. The engine also won’t go over 3500rpm on its own now, but if I lock it in a lower gear and go faster it would still rev up.
what do you think is the issue here, please let me know. Thanks a lot!
Well with four-wheel drive those are very complex vehicles if I were you I'd find a mechanic like me to road test it put a scanner on and start analyzing it could even be a computer problem but it could be all wheel drive system problem you could also be a fuel injection problem those are so complex you can't guess you have to hook up high level scan tool do a road test and then analyze all the data
