Hello Scotty and the community how's everyone? So my transmission pops out of 5th gear while driving. It started Sunday and it was September of this year when I magically fixed it upon going over a rough speed bump and it would stay in 5th gear... Well now its back popping out of gear again. What could cause this? Tranny fluid is topped off and fresh after I got the CV Shaft Axle replaced last Friday. Could it be the linkage or something else? Anything said I'll take a look at it in the morning. 2001 Honda Civic LX 5-Speed
Maybe, since your Civic just "pops out" of fifth gear it could be the linkage. I would have the linkage check by a Honda specialist. However it could mean your transmission is worn out. How many miles are on your Civic?
